Pancakes are usually served on shrove tuesday (or pancake day) here in the UK. If you’re one of those people that buy pre made mix, stop now! It can be way more expensive, and they lack flavour. Using my recipe, and tips. You’ll have the perfect pancake batter every single time.
Also, if you have a bunch load left over, they can either be frozen, or you can use the next day in wraps for lunch, or stuffed with fillings like spinach and ricotta, laid in a roasting tray, covered in cheese bechamel and baked until golden for a delicious dinner.
Do you make pancakes differently? Leave a comment and let me know your method!

In America we call these crepes.
Your pancake mix is too watery and too much butter on pan
Look up Jacues Pepin on Youtube, you will learn how to make pancakes/crepes properly. He has great advice, you never put the mixture in the centre of the pan! Thanks for posting, the best laugh I have had for some time, happy cooking chum.
Your butter burnt, try a tiny oil in with the butter, it mite not stick then, only need tiny oil but honestly u do need oil also
Thanks so much!!! Very helpful
Less milk and water req
Very watery
2 minutes of cooking, half hour of bunny, pointless crap
It worked. I used margarine instead of butter, plus soy milk, and had no problems, except with the first one as mentioned.
These are crêpes. You can call them pancakes if you want, but they're crêpes.
That Easter bonnet was flipping crepe! 😂
Thank you for this video. Always think it's just me that mucks up the first few. My 10yr old son did better ones than me thus year so might just let him be in charge next year lol
Brill and realistic , thankyou !
Hi cutie! I add a bit of baking powder or bicarb for a slightly puffy-er p-cake.
Maybe a dash of sugar too. Crepe to pancake magical transformation. Yum.
oooh Mum and Grand mother from Yorkshire say you should cook pancakes in Lard ! yes we always cook in lard, it gets hotter quicker than butter, crisps them better, your flipping problem is because the butter isn't hot enough in the middle. lard seals the mix before it sticks to the pan, it doesn't sweeten them up like butter, you can not taste the lard when cooked. you use less lard than butter!
Because they couldn't get lemons during the war, the topping was sugar and vinegar! I prefer the chocolate spread, I had one in Greece that had choc spread and any Alcoholic beverage you wanted! NOT for the Kids! But plenty off adults going in for seconds and thirds. Great Honest vid though.
How many cups of flower ????
Flippin' brilliant, thank you.
Measurements… measurements… measurements please
I cooked this when i was 8
How much flower how much milk and water bud cant make a tutorial without correct measurements
Thin pancakes are so much better than American style tbh can’t wait to use this recipe!
The state of that pan 😂
You crack me up, lovely hat. Enough said. I make my crepes that way, but i make the batter the night before and leave in the fridge. ( A little tip from my French mother in law) The texture of the pancake or crepe is really nice after a night in the fridge. Thanks again;)
Lol I'm so glad you said the 1st pancake is alwas naff. I thought I was the only one throwing the 1st one in the bin
I'm watching this in 2023 and wondering how long it took you to recover from wearing the pancake Easter bonnet 😂❤
Just slid the pancake down to the edge of the pan and flip easy
Your so funny. and Awesome keep up the good work…LOL🤣😂
Really enjoyed your video, thanks, p.s I urge you to look into the “religious” side of lent and Easter etc as the sacrifice Jesus made was just as much for you as it was for everyone else, by the way the flippin was flipping lane 😂 but loved the video thanks
Can i use self raising flour? Thanks
I am only 12
You should consider editing the chapter start time to show the recipe starting from 1:15, cos right now it just jumps straight to the method shown after the card, but not the actual recipe card itself, and is therefore a useless bookmark. Thanks for the recipe though!
Re flipping – it really helps if you have a curved-edge pan. The cast iron one he's using has a very sharp vertical angle to the wall, so there's no way to slide the pancake forward without it just crumpling up. He'd have had to just use an exclusively up & down toss instead, which is difficult with heavy cookware like cast iron. A carbon steel pan or nonstick pan would be easier.
I’m practicing for pancake day. Good shit
Luv the Honesty !! and Preety Simple Ingredients and Recepie (Y) Good One Brah !!! Dont Worry if you Can't Flip Pancakes , Try the Dance Floor 😉
😅omg, I was expecting great but sure at least you didn't delete this video…in fairness 👍🏼 to you😂😂

Same 11 and love this video
Hello again Adam. I'm a day late but still using this clutch video.
it's Mardi Gras in the catholic world
Really good pancakes! The pancake hat is really smart 😂
Making pancakes bills score
Those are the pancakes my dad used to make, first one always comes out naff. I like the almost crepe like pancakes, but always end up making in between American and British not too thick not too thin.
That was flipping awful ! Sure the pancakes were delicious so I’ll try it today
A good non stick pan and don’t try the flipping !🤪
Yummy 😋 love pancakes 🥞
Thanks
This has helped me alot
