Crunchy, cheesy, and just down right delicious is all I can say about these tacos. When I first saw these made on America’s Test Kitchen I knew I had to remake these on the Blackstone griddle.

  1. Your Blackstone Colleague Betty made those on her channel earlier this year. I need to make these. They looked delicious. I like the idea of adding Taco fixings to them. Thanks.

  2. Half an onion is ALWAYS enough. One of the worst things I see in cooking is people think they have the whole onion so use it, but then the mix is not balanced, the other mistake is so many people don't cook it, the onion is raw and leaves a textural and flavor impact that ruins the dish, instead of complimenting

  3. I love ATK. But don't take those Northerners' advice on Mexican food. LoL. Watch the Rachel Cooks With Love channel. Your tacos will be much better. Check out San Antonio Puff Tacos for something different. Cheers!

  4. I just finished watching the video on my 86 inch TV, it was not in 4K, but it still looked really good, the recipe looked really awesome, good job, baby girl

  5. You are very over weight! Wake up and STOP eating Carbs, Sugars, ALL Plants, and Processed Foods!!!

  6. Ok Mattโ€ฆ Iโ€™ve commented several times as we love you and your channel and your cookinโ€ฆ but I must sayโ€ฆ. โ€œ Dangit Boyโ€!!!!!!!!!

  7. Those are not tacos dorados.
For starters, Mexicans donโ€™t use cheddar cheese in tacos of any style.
Tacos dorados are rolled not folded, and are topped with green tomatillo or red sauce lettuce, queso fresco and cream. What you did looks good but they are not tacos dorados.
How do I know this? Iโ€™m an ex pat and live in Mexico City.

  9. I've been making these since the 70's. Didn't know they had a name. My dad taught me how to cook.โค

  10. Fantastic, Hussey! Definitely going this next weekend! Need more taco in my life, and may keep the wife off my back for a minute! ๐Ÿ˜‚ thanks for the vid and content! Definitely good groceries! Griddle on my friend..โค

  11. I had the deep fat fried tacos on Olivera Street in LA in the 70โ€™s
THE BEST l ever had before or since. I have asked every Mexican restaurant I have been to on the East Coast no one made them that way!! I was shocked. Still trying to find one.

  12. Hola! Great good job, Americano! Just so you know, "tacos dorados" were the only style taco known in the USA and came with those from the northern States of Sonora, Chihuahua and Coahuila, fleeing the Mexican Revolution (Pancho Villa) of 1912-1920. Jack in the Box and Titos Tacos still serves a type of Dorado here in So. Calif. Dorados are now making a come-back by street vendors. Soft tacos, from southern Mexico, where flour tortillas and grilled tacos are a rarity, started to make an appearance in the USA, 20-40 years ago when foodies discovered them on vacation in the Southern Mexico beach resorts.

Helpful hint: Use grated potato to the beef as a binder instead of cheese, as you cook. Some kitchens use refried beans . Seasoning is key at this point. Both are great. Add grated cheese and crema as a topping.
Also… a Quesadilla should Never, EVER contain meat. A high quality Queso, is Queen in a quesadilla. The bridesmaids are alway grilled mushrooms, zucchini, nopal, shredded cabbage, any vegetable.
And… Find yourself a good cooked salsa recipe. Cholula is perfect for the lunchbox or glovebox. Buen provecho, ya'll!

  13. That little laugh at first crispy bite Mmm๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒฎ

  14. I'm all for that CRUNCH on my Tacos. This looks so good I have to try it Tuesday, Taco Tuesday with the Great-grandchildren. Thnak You for the video! .

  15. You know what I love? To NOT HEAR someone eating. I can see they are crunchy and delicious. Then, it's ruined with the audio of mastication.
