This is my first year growing anything from seed and its honestly amazing. Its so cool to see these little guys go from seed to this stage! I am a proud vegtable mama 🥹 hopefully they'll be ready for the garden mid may I actually don't know how tall they need to be to be transplanted 😅 but still happy! Black from tula and cherokee tomatoes 🍅

Congrats! I’ve got Black from Tula, and Cherokee purple in my garden this year ( love black tula, first time growing C.P. ). But I got my start growing seeds from kitchen scraps 20 years ago. Don’t get discouraged if some things don’t work out! It’s worth it to keep trying. Your babies look great by the way!

Congratulations, they are beautiful. Sounds like you are gonna be hooked for life. Journal this experience. It will help you plan for next year as well as feed your excitement in preparation for next season. 🌞

I suggest waiting to transplant them outside until they’re bigger with a couple sets of true leaves. I’d say 3 more weeks. Right now, it would be difficult to work with them given they’re so small – roots and tops. In the meantime, put them out in the sun in the cups during the nice days to get them used to sun/wind – don’t overwater and no need to fertilize.

BTW – the soil in the pic looks very wet and that can cause root rot. Keep it damp but not wet is my recommendation.

When transplanting – the roots are easy to tease apart so don’t worry about thinning.
