Cuisinart ICE30BCP1 troubleshooting help! I feel like I lose a lot of ice cream in my process. It freezes super hard to the bottom and sides of the bowl and doesn’t get scraped in by the paddles. Is this normal/expected or am I doing something wrong?

    I’ve had one of these for years and found that putting a heavy weight on the top of the machine helps keep pressure on the dasher. I used a dutch oven but be careful to make sure it doesn’t fall during churning.

    My other trick is to take the lid off and manually press down on the dasher gently to help scrape the sides. I do this a few times over the churn time.

    Both pretty basic fixes but work for me.
