Recipe Request: Decorated Sponge Cake?

Hi!

I’m new here so hopefully I’m doing it right 😅. I’m obsessed with these decorated cakes I’ve seen on Instagram and NEED to learn to make them vegan!

I’ve been searching on Pinterest using every term I can think of but I don’t think these cakes have a clear name. It’s some sort of sponge cake that they pipe out the design of first, then add the rest of the batter. The cakes are VERY egg heavy.

If anyone has any ideas pls lmk! I tried to do this with a vegan sponge cake recipe and the results were laughable – it just looks like mold 😂
