Here is the recipe:
soft 6 inch long roll.
melted butter
sliced pork roast
ham
swiss cheese
pickles
yellow mustard

brush mustard on bread
add, ham, swiss, pork and pickles
close sandwich and butter top of bread
butter hot griddle/panini press or cast iron
put sandwich in and grill until cheese is melted and outer bread is crusty.
If your in a cast iron skillet then wrap brick in foil and set on sandwich. Cook 1/2 way then flip sandwich and replace brick on top.
cut diagonal and enjoy.

roast that I did because the whole goal
is to make that mojo marinade pork roast
slice it and show you how to make Cubano
sandwiches Cuban sandwiches are my
favorite

flawless so I’m going to show you no
matter where you live how to make them
in your house but first I want to thank

just a few things you need to make this
first you need some ham you want some
beautiful Swiss cheese nice long pieces
some pickles yellow mustard a little bit
of melted butter with a brush and if you
can find the Cuban bread get it just ask
your supermarkets bakery section if they
don’t have it gift bread like this no
seeds soft on top soft inside very airy
because we’re gonna crisp up the outside
you don’t want
hard crusted bread you want soft bread
okay alright and of course this
beautiful mojo marinated pork roast
so let’s slice a few pieces off right
now can make a few sandwiches so slices
then go real spin there you go our
person you want to do is cut your bread
in half put a little mustard on it put
your ham slice on it Swiss cheese
a slice of the marinated pork a pickle
looks beautiful doesn’t it alright bring
this over to your pinioning press or you
can press it down on a cast-iron grill
with a brick wrapped in foil okay turn
it on my optigrill and I selected the
panini sandwich choice on the front
there now we’re going to let it warm up
now that it’s preheated you’re going to
butter the top of the bread next thing
you’re going to do is butter the grill
then you put your sandwich in there just
like that and you’re going to press down
you’re gonna have to check on it when
the cheese starts to melt and the bun
starts cute little crispy you want to
pull it out okay it’s given check yes I
think that’s perfect okay let’s bring it
over here cut it at an angle Oh smells
delicious look up thin it is look at
that it’s beautiful I’ll tighten out
crispy just like a Cubano I have to tell
you my favorite part of biting into one
of these is the crunch mmm Wow
that’s delicious it brings back memories

oh my goodness all right I got to eat
this I gotta go this is amazing
crunchy delicious the pork inside is
just awesome the pickle on the mustard
boom give it a try if you don’t have a
panini press go in the backyard get a
brick wash it off wrap it in foil and
just do it your cast iron put the brick
on top of the sandwich and just give it
a good press and then flip it halfway

  1. Sorry no disrespect "I'm sure it tastes good ",but there mustard and smoked ham,and it's done on flat presser "not the one your using!.. but I guess ppl will still say that to each is own"but it still not the original version !..thank very much..

  3. You have to go to Miami…California is too far from home for a Cuban. There are SO many local spots to enjoy fantastic authentic Cuban items in Miami. Trust me…you will not be disappointed!

  4. New to the channel so I have to ask a few questions. First off why did you use that black forest ham for a Cuban sandwich? Since you got the cheese from the deli it would have been easy to also get the ham. Better quality products means better sandwich. Next why would you add so much of the ham (a product you did not make) instead of more of the pork you spent so much time making? It has tons of flavor with the marinate and you added one slice? With a sandwich you want to have a solid balance of ingredients (ratio of meat to other items) so nothing over powers and flavors come through. I understand taste is subjective and I did not taste your sandwich but, in the movie they talk about all these things. As a fan of the movie who cooks I would think that you would take that message of care in the food to heart. Nice pork with Moho (not mojo) but, this is not even close to a Cuban sandwich.

  6. I gotta give you Kudos! But the "Cubano" is Not the right name..that may have been a slang term in the movie, but it's just called "Cuban sandwich" of all the 27 years of being raised in Miami! And the roasted leg of pork is sliced deli thin? Sweet ham both meats are a deli sliced thickness melted Swiss cheese mustard and a few pickle chips! So you got a few details wrong? But all in all, it's just an imitation..
