My nephew turned three today, and requested “a street sweeper and some dirt” along with “a lot of chocolate.” I’m a novice cake decorator but I couldn’t turn down a birthday wish!
The cake is double chocolate with a chocolate buttercream frosting and the decorations are made with rice krispie treats and homemade marzipan. I had fun being a little messy with the frosting / the crumb dirt.
This was my first time working with marzipan, and I’m pretty excited about how it turned out! It was super fun slicing up the street sweeper and seeing the little dude realize he could eat it.
