Lemon Ricotta Semolina Cake ๐Ÿ‹

As far as cakes go, this one is NOT very sweet. It’s like a light and fluffy cheesecake. Incredibly easy and tasty.

Ingredients:
3.5 Tbsp (50g) Butter
1qt (1l) Milk
1 Vanilla bean (1 tsp Extract)
1 Lemon Peel
1 1/4c (230g) Semolina
6 Eggs
1 ยฝ c (310g) Sugar
1c (250g) Ricotta

-Powdered sugar and Lemon for garnish
Instructions
-Heat the butter, milk, lemon peel, salt and vanilla to a simmer.
-Remove the solids. Turn the heat down and add in the semolina.
-Stir for a minute or two until the mixture become a mush.
-Set aside to cool.
-Mix together the eggs and sugar until light and creamy
-Mix in the ricotta and the semolina mixture until smooth.
-Butter a springform pan and pour in the mixture.
-Bake at 350F- 170C for 1 hour till it’s a bit jiggly in the center.
-Let the cake slowly come to room temp before removing the springform pan. Top with powdered sugar, garnish with a lemon and enjoy!

I really didn’t want to share this
recipe for my lemon ricot semolina cake
but I had a lemon from my neighbor’s
lemon tree some leftover ricot from
another video and because my last name
ends an a vowel I always have semolina
flour so lucky me and lucky you here’s
the recipe add butter milk vanilla bean
or extract for this recipe it doesn’t
matter so just use what you got lemon
peels and salt bring those to a simmer
while you have a tournament to root out
your six weakest eggs then mix in Sugar
until light and creamy sift out your
solids from the milk and stir in
semolina until it forms a mushy paste
while that cools whip some ricot into
the eggs and mix it all together with
the semolina make it nice and pretty
before you bake it then make it even
prettier after this cake is so light and
fluffy you’re going to want it all to
yourself and understand why

  5. Freezer ingredients: ice packs and ice cubes.
    Refrigerator Ingredients: multiple jars of water and juices, nothing else.
    Guess it is time to go grocery shopping.

  6. I just made it and wow. Absolutely delicious. I used a 26 cm springform pan. I also always use cake strips, mine had no cracks at the top.

    ** RECIPE **
    3.5 T butter or 50g
    1 lemon peel
    1 quart milk
    I/2 t. Salt
    1 t. Vanilla
    Bring to a Simmer, take of heat
    Add 1 1/4 c. Semolina flour. Cool. Add
    6 eggs
    1 1/2 c. Sugar
    1 c. or 250g. Ricotta
    mix this till creamy
    Add in
    Pour into greased 9" Springform
    Bake at 350 or 170c for 1hour till jiggly. Cool to room temp. Dust w powder sugar.

  10. There isn't really a recipe here…besides the 6 eggs and (only) 1 lemon? Quantities and Oven Temp?
