I raked up some old partially decomposed matted down oak and maple leaves and shredded them up by hand, I spread em out over my veggie garden, I didn’t put it on the young carrot and beet seedlings as I don’t want to suffocate and block the sunlight from them. I didn’t mulch last year and I’m excited to see how this will help my soil and veggie production
