we’re diving into the world of seafood
with a recipe for broiled shrimp with
garlic lemon and herbs this broil shrimp
recipe is tender juicy and is perfect
for beginners as well as experien cooks
with three main ingredients garlic herbs
and lemon it’s bursting with flavor and
Incredibly easy to
make if you’re new around here I’m Amy

and techniques for seasonal and globally

thank you so much and welcome and
without further Ado let’s Dive Right
In let’s gather our ingredients here’s
what you’ll need 2 lbs of shrimp peeled
in the vein six cloves of garlic grated
to paste 1 tbsp of herb de pon or
Italian seasoning 1/4 cup of olive oil 1
tsp of Honey Lemon wedges and fresh
parsley for
garnish for this recipe we’re using
extra large shrimp however you can also
use smaller ones if you like but
remember to adjust the cooking time
accordingly you can leave the tails on
the shrimp for decorative presentation
or remove them for easier eating it’s
purely a matter of preference we’re
going to grate six cloves of garlic
garlic use a microplane to grate the
garlic into a paste you can also use a
garlic press if you have one this way
you don’t end up with chunks of garlic
in the marinade the garlic will Infuse
more easily into the shrimp and it won’t
burn under the broiler next this is
optional by using a mortar imp pestle
take 1 tbspoon of herb de pance and
crush the spices against the mortar in a
circular motion I want the herbs to be
more finely ground so it releases the
flavor and Aroma freshly ground spices
have just a a little bit more robust
flavor next in a mediumsized bowl we’re
going to whisk together olive oil garlic
paste herb to Pon
[Music]
seasoning a teaspoon of
salt and
honey whisk everything together and make
sure it’s well Blended
[Music]
[Music]
then add the marinade to the shrimp and
slowly toss everything together making
sure the marinade coats the shrimp
[Music]
[Music]
this is optional but if you like a bit
more spiciness and flavor add half a
teaspoon of cayenne pepper start with a
small amount you can always add more
according to your taste I like adding
cayenne pepper to many Savory recipes
because it infuses a deep spicy flavor
that really complements other seasonings
like lemon and
herbs once everything is well combined
cover and marinate the shrimp in the
refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or
you can also leave it
overnight in the meantime we’re going to
cut the lemon
wedges and chop The Parsley for our
garnish then put that
[Music]
aside preheat your oven’s Broiler
setting to high heat and we want to make
sure to adjust the oven rack about 4 in
from the Oiler
element now once the shrimp has been
marinating for at least 30 minutes and
when we’re ready to cook the shrimp
allow them to sit on the counter at room
temperature for at least 15 to 30
minutes give the shrimp a quick toss and
shake off any excess marinade then
arrange the shrimp in a single layer on
a wire rack on top of the baking sheet
[Music]
now if you don’t have a wire rack you
can also use parchment paper aluminum
foil or these silicon baking pads they
all work you just want to make sure that
the shrimp is close enough to the
broiler
element make sure the shrimp are spread
out evenly and not overcrowded on the
pan this allows them to cook evenly and
get that perfect broil
Char now we’re going to pop the shrimp
in the oven and broil until they’re pink
and opaque it should take about 3 to 5
minutes but be sure to keep an eye on
them as they cook really quickly they
can go from raw to done in seconds
overcooked shrimp will have a tough
chewy texture so you’ll want to make
sure to pull them out as soon as they
turn pink and get a little bit of
charring on
them when the shrimp are pink and opaque
then they’re done pull them out of the
oven and transfer them to a serving
platter now if you’re serving this as an
appetizer you can probably serve up to
six people but if you’re serving it for
dinner I’d say more like two to four
[Music]
people before serving don’t forget to
squeeze a little extra lemon juice and
sprinkle some parsley over the shrimp
for a burst of freshness and
color these broiled shrimp make for a
perfect appetizer or even a main course
served with some crusty bread or over a
bed of rice they’re sweet and juicy with
a tender plump body and a slightly crisp
bite with a combination of garlic lemon
and herbs this dish is Simply
Irresistible a simple yet incredibly
flavorful recipe for broil shrimp with
garlic lemon and herbs give it a try and
