pickled red onions are so easy to make
at home they will elevate any dish my
favorite way to enjoy them is to add
them to my tacos but you can also add to
sandwiches burgers eggs you name it go
ahead and add the ingredients for your
brine to a pot and bring to a boil i’m
using kirkland apple cider vinegar today
but you can use white vinegar as well
get off the heat and let it cool in the
meantime thinly slice your onions you
want it as thin as possible if you have
a mandolin now is the time to use i also
like to add serrano peppers to make it
spicy but you can leave this out push up
a few garlic cloves and add to your jar
then fill it all up with the brine and
let it sit for at least an hour you’ll
know when your onions are ready to eat
because they will turn this lovely
purple color that is pretty much it now
you can see why
