Any suggestions on how to convert this to a slow cooker recipe?

There really isn’t a reason to. The meat doesn’t need loads of time to break down, and the rice would be porridge after a couple of hours.

  2. Reality is not everything can be converted to a slow cooker recipe and this one is a good example. Yes it would be lovely if you could just throw everything into the pot and cook it, but it’s simply not what the recipe would call for.

Is the goal to have the dish but make it easier? Because a lot of dishes just won’t work that way.

That said, this sounds pretty good on its own lol, can you link the recipe. I love lamb rice pilaf.

Pilafs use chunks of meat and animal fats. There is a frying step and a ton of vegies (onions, carrots).
