2006 Château La Mission Haut-Brion PnP, and later decanted for 1 hr Nose of tobacco and forest floor, with hints of plums and peppers Medium-bodied, with a core of cassis and minerals Silky smooth tannins Long, expansive finish with a buttery, chocolatey flavour WOTN for me, it took some time to open up but once it did, the structure and the finish is absolutely gorgeous
2003 Clarendon Hills Astralis PnP Nose of cherries and prunes, with hints of liquorice and vanilla Full-bodied, with a core of prunes and cassis Smooth tannins Medium-long finish Very powerful structure, I would say it’s almost similar to Napa Cabs with how fruit forward it is
