So I pulled the trigger on these two, now what?!

Tignanello 2021, according to their website and I quote “Overall, the 2021 vintage is considered to be one of the best vintages ever.” Oh my god! ❤️

Only score so far is from vinous with 98/100

Do I crack these bottles now and enjoy the potential greatness, or should I let them mature a bit longer? It's worth noting that I got the last two bottles from a local shop during my recent trip to Italy, so they kind of have a sentimental value already linked to them. I don’t know if nor when I would be able to source for more as I don’t like to buy online.

I would tend to wait at least 5 years in the wine cabinet before opening them but I don’t have much experience with super tuscans. Nor I had a Tignanello before!

For those who have had the luck to taste it already, please tell!! And for those who haven't, any suggestions on the optimal time to enjoy these bottles?

    Official tasting notes

Tignanello 2021 is ruby red with intense purple hues. The nose is complex: notes of ripe plums, blackberries and candied orange peels lead to pleasant hints of dark chocolate, caramel, and licorice. Sweet hints of tobacco complete the impressive bouquet. The palate is rich, sophisticated, intense and is defined by supple vibrant tannins followed by a long persistent finish.

Get one of their less expensive reds and instead of opening the Tig now. I’m a hypocrite tho.. I open wines you’re supposed to age out of curiosity.

I mean yeah you are definitely supposed to age it. Anybody telling you to drink now would be giving bad advice. However sometimes curiosity gets the better of me as well so no judgement if you do pull the cork

I’ve got a vertical of those going back to the 90s. Great stuff that will only get better over time.
