hi friends welcome back to C me food we
have taken part in the collab bananas
for banana day hosted by Jim’s kit
kitchen make sure to check out his video
and all the other content creators who
participated in this wonderful collab
for this collab we were to make a recipe
that utilized bananas and today we are
going to be making banana nut bread okay
so first make sure that you preheat your
oven to 350° f
and also make sure you grease and flour
your bacon dish now we’re going to take
two ripe bananas and the riper the
better for this recipe these are
generally used for baking and we’re
going to go ahead and
peel our
bananas next we’re going to take a
fork and you’re going to
mash up your bananas the more ripe they
are the easier it is to mash now you can
leave chunks in it if you prefer or you
can mash it and make it all extra smooth
is your preference of how you want to do
it and after you’re done mashing it
should look just like this now my
husband likes it with a little bit of
chunks in it so that’s how we’re going
to do this today we’re going to set the
bananas aside next we’re going to mix up
our dry ingredients we’re going to take
our flour
a/4 teaspoon of salt
if you want to not certain if your
baking
soda is any good one way to check it is
you can put some baking
soda in there and take a little bit of
white vinegar what it’ll do is it’ll
fizzle up if it’s some good you see that
so the baking soda is still active so
it’s okay to use we’re going to put one
teaspoon of baking soda into the flour
mixture and we’re going to take one
teaspoon of cinnamon let’s go ahead and
give that a good mix
around cinnamon gives it an absolutely
nice flavor to the banana nut bread okay
so now we’re going to take our kitchen
aid now if you don’t have a kitchen aid
this totally works with the hand blender
as well so no need to worry we’re going
to take room one stick of room
temperature butter or half a
cup a half2 cup of light brown sugar a
half a cup of granulated sugar
and what we’re going to do is we’re
going to cream the butter and the sugar
together and we’re going to mix this
until it’s well combined all right now
that this is good and mixed up next
we’re going to put take two room
temperature eggs one at a time and I’m
going to mix that into here as
well and put that one in next we’re
going to take one teaspoon of vanilla
extract put that in there and mix that
up a little
bit okay so next we’re going to take up
our mashed up banana we’re going to put
that in
here and remember if you like what
you’re seeing go ahead and press that
thumbs up button and ring that
notification Bell and make sure you
subscribe to our Channel we appreciate
all the support now we’re going to mix
this banana into the mixture
next we’re going to take 1/4 cup of room
temperature milk we’re going to pour
some of that milk in
there and we’re going to take the dry
ingredients and we’re going to mix that
alternatively by hand I’m using a
spatula to make sure I don’t over mix
it next we’re going to take a half cup
of chopped walnuts
and we’re going to fold that into the
batter as well just until combined now
we’re going to take our bread loaf
pan we’re going to put
the bread batter in here now we’re going
to bake this in the oven at
350° for 55 to 65 minutes depending on
your oven all right so this is cooked
for a total of 65
minutes and we’re going to let this cool
for 10 minutes before taking it out of
the bread pan all right now that the
banana nut bread has rested for 10
minutes all right now that the banana
nut bread has rested for 10 minutes
we’re going to take a knife and just go
around the edges to make
sure it’s not stuck or any little pieces
to keep it from coming out aren’t stuck
to it what there’s not and we’re going
to take our banana nut bread and we’re
going to take it out
and look at that that came out really
well looks like already ready it smells
so good all right so now we’re going to
let this sit on the cooling rack for
about an hour or two and let it cool
before cutting right into it all right
so now that this bread has cooled for
about 2 hours and still feels warm we’re
going to go ahead and cut into it let’s
see how it
looks oh look at that now that looks
good all right and that’s how you make
banana nut bread if you like what you
saw don’t forget to give us a thumbs up
and hit that like button also go ahead
and ring that notification Bell so you
can be notified of our latest video
uploads also have a apple cinnamon swirl
loaf video that we will post right here
for you guys to check out as well
