hey hey hey welcome back to my channel
today i’m bringing to you the spicy and
hot
fried plantains i must say this is a
ghanaian delicacy
and i must warn you you cannot stop as
one
it is also known as the color willy this
is hot and spicy so if you don’t like
spicy food
this is not for you without wasting time
let’s just get started
first of all i am going to need some rye
plantains
as you can see here i’ve got here four
medium sized ripe plantains
i’ll peel them up
[Music]
after i’ve peeled everything it’s time
to cut them into smaller pieces
so to do this i’ll just slice it into
two
then cut them into smaller pieces i must
say
if you want them bigger you can cut them
bigger but it’s
usually eaten like this if they are too
small you’re going to end up burning
them so these
sizes are just perfect
[Music]
so after cotton i’ll put it aside for
later
now i’ve got here some ginger some hot
chili pepper
a little bit of onions and some garlic
what i’ll do is that i’ll blend
everything up i’ve got some cloves over
here
i’ve also got here some anise seeds i’ll
just put it in a paper
towel and with the help of a rolling pin
i’ll just break it up i’ll mash it up i
like to
break them up like this because i
realize if i mix it up with the
rest of the ingredients and blend it
into the blender it doesn’t
really really blend it very well so i
prefer to do it this way
so i’ll get my plantains and come in
with my blended ingredients
[Music]
i’ll come in with a little bit of salt
to taste
i’ll grate in some black pepper
then finally i will come in with the
mashed
anise and cloves with the help of a
ladle i’ll just mix
everything up
[Music]
then i’ll set it aside for later i’ll
get another
bowl and line it with some tissue papers
then cover it up with my frying paper
this will be used later
when our fried plantains are ready
now i’ll put a pan on fire and come in
with some oil
[Music]
when the oil is hot enough i will drop
in my plantains
and i must say we’re doing this on
medium to high fire
once they’ve been cut into smaller
pieces if the fire
is too low the plantains will suck so
much of the oil
and you don’t want that so you’re going
to fry this
till it turns around golden brown
it just depends on you we have people
who prefer to fry
less and we have people who prefer to
fry it more
they prefer to eat it when is you know a
little bit darker
and harder and you must continue mixing
or else you’re going to have one side
burned
and the other side not so well cooked
as you can see our killer whale is ready
i’ll just get them
out of the oil
[Music]
i’ll come in with the second batch so
basically this is what we are going to
do
so we have no more to fry
[Music]
and yeah here we are our spicy fried
plantains
are ready our calorie is ready
you are invited this is so delicious and
as you can see it was so
so easy to make so i hope you are going
to give this a try
if you do let me know how it comes out
for you if you’ve not subscribed please

don’t forget to share this with family
and friends and don’t forget to leave me
that big fat thumbs up
until next time i am going to see you
again with another nice and interesting
one
