My frosting broke and I just couldn’t seem to cure it. Then it got too warm in piping bag. The jello I tried to get it really as refrigerated/cold as possible before finally pouring a thin layer, however it stayed liquid underneath itself forever. (I’m guessing that’s the reason people use pure gelatin instead of a jello brand box). And the chocolate rocks seeped their color into it as you can see. The mushrooms are not edible they are little statues. Was told the cake tasted good at least. Constructive criticism always welcome.

I immediately liked this cake. It is unique and I like the bold contrast of colors. I bet it tastes even better.

I like this cake! Looks like an actual pond.

  3. I think it looks great! The swamp/bog effect may have been intentional but it’s perfect! I love it.

If I didn’t read about the mistakes made in your cake, I honestly would not have realized there were mistakes. It looks pretty.

Great cake! I also thought the pond looked cool, I would consider it a happy accident. Now do it again!

I was wanting to know how you made the hello look like metallic green and gold all together. I would have never known those were mistakes. I think the cake looks gorgeous.

You can also make the jello separate, then place it on the cake already set.

Thanks everyone! I suppose it looked extra pond-like!
