MD Vegan blending cashews with garlic, lemons, Himalayan salt, and water, talking about cashew cream dressings and making daily new recipes and salads with ready made dressings,, about beginning with small numbers of ingredients and small changes to get to know the ingredients and how they play together, about garlic and the ratio of the ingredients in this recipe.

hi friends MD vegan I’m making new
dressing today and um I tried it in some
salads the other day and uh I Tred a
little bit more or less of this and that
and today I come out with a final
version and it is a garlic cashew cream
now I have some other cashew creams um
with chili or other seasonings but this
one garlic cashew
cream um is new and I think it’s pretty
nice yeah it’s a strong garlic flavor
and you can you can um vary you can take
more or less garlic yeah but the rest is
pretty uh a little bit more less salt
you can also maybe but the rest is
pretty much I guess um standardized here
I would say and I have here for
starters to a medium version um well
let’s say
um 1 and 1/2 cup
cashews and one and a half
lemons peeled
lemons so half a cup of cashews and half
a lemon that is the
ratio one lemon one cup I can also say
right
yeah and um this is maybe for two or
three salads in the end I make a
dressing ahead of time to be able to
make a quick salad anything and the the
so this is the amount for maybe three
salads or so two or three depends on
what the salad is and and here is my
seasoning so that is um garlic here see
these are um see what do nine gloves so
for one cup for half cup three gloves to
say half cup cashews three gloves always
depends on the gloves these are medium
siiz gloves not too large not too small
yeah
and maybe two tables two teaspoons um
Himalayan salt and one teaspoon black
pepper these are black pepp pepper corns
as you see my favorite uh Choice here
there are different kinds of pepper
black pepper any kind of black pepper
you this is Telly Cherry pepper soall
It’s a Wonderful flavor I love pepper
black
pepper so let’s see so this is the ratio
put some water in to blend it and I have
to blend twice I guess because the first
time the cashs break down and the second
time I make it then nice and creamy so
let’s see

dens so broken down be now I can taste
it texture that is and the flavor
both texture is okay maybe a little bit
more water because now as the cashews
are broken down and it will soaking
begin to soak a little bit
faster um they will get thicker the
dressing will thicken up a little bit so
when I taste it now I will find out if I
have to add
something salt that is maybe you usually
add and um maybe a little bit of lemon
and maybe water the rest I would say
pretty
sure oh no that’s nice salt is good
lemon is good pepper is good perfect the
texture is a little bit thick because
dressing can be thicker and
thinner depending on the salad for
example um tender leafy greens yeah
lettuce they would have a thinner
dressing and
maybe let’s say
a peas and avocado maybe it would be a
thicker dressing yeah for example but
you can you can always use either way
but these are the main things I would
say um the dressing the texture of the
dressing is important uh with regard to
the salad not only the flavor so one
more blending let’s see if I get it
right
now

of course when I add the water I might
have to season a little bit to add a
little
bit now the texture is changing all the
time now cuz it soaks but it looks
better it’s runnier now
it’s very good it’s a very nice
flavor
uh strong garlicky flavor garlic is
super healthy you know it’s well
known
um so many things that do but that’s not
the point today uh I blend one more time
to get it runnier and also to get it
creamier because the cashews they are
broken down and they soak and they need
a second blending
and one more I think I need one more
blender

Dan guess that should do it these are
power blenders um highspeed blenders
when you have a normal
blender 100 bucks or so uh you might
want to soak the nuts maybe or you blend
often more often you let it sit for a
while then you blend again you just need
more time these are faster
here looks very
good now it’s creamy now I also like to
make my already made dressings a little
bit thicker because when I then take it
out of the fridge the texture always
changes usually gets a little bit
thicker and then I can add some water
for a certain salad because I don’t know
ahead of time now I don’t know what will
be the next salad for this dressing
that’s what it looks like so you have an
impression bit closer to the cover your
seats
running so when I take it out of the
fridge you know I I will have to adjust
the texture eventually yeah can add some
a little water and sometimes it’s just a
table spoon or so to this one here just
a
tablespoon right then I put the lid on
top
see don’t waste
anything um just the LD on top and then
shake a little bit then you have often
times the texture has considerably
changed so
surprising sometimes a small amount of
water after the fridge I mean makes a
lot of difference because the fridge
itself and it’s cold it has a different
texture take it out and shake it a
little bit then the texture is already
runer so sometimes when I didn’t know
that I put a little bit too much water
and then it wasn’t too runny yeah then
you can’t take it back right um so I’m
careful with that and and when I add a
little bit of water usually the flavor
wouldn’t change because it’s just a
small amount of water but it can be that
you would like to season a little bit
more after the adding water but also
when you put the salad on the dressing
on the salad then only together with the
leaves and the other ingredients you
would taste if the dressing is really
right dressing is usually over seasoned
a little bit that’s normal you season
more give it more flavor more expression
than you want to have it on the salad
yeah so dressing can only be tasted
together with a salad then you have the
flavor and for that you usually
overseason the dressing more salt more
gar garlic more whatever it’s in it and
then on the salad becomes get gets the
correct flavor that’s why it’s a little
bit tricky to make the dressing but
dressings can be the the dot on the eye
of a salad can make a salad very
delicious and I can create a great
variety of different salads just with a
dressing so this dressing now I will try
many of my standard combinations salad
variations with this dressing sometimes
it works sometimes not but this seems to
be a very Universal dressing seems to be
easy to use like the last one the chili
cashew cashew cream uh dressing was also
very

  1. Hallo Du kleines Vegan ❤chen, kannst Du nicht einfach die genaue Rezeptur, sprich die einzelnen Mengenangaben mal hier einstellen? Ich möchte, dass das Dressing tatsächlich so wird, wie Du es machst, zumindest für den Anfang. Danach kann ich immer noch variieren, sofern ich das dann noch möchte. That would be very nice. 🙏

It tasted fabulous, I made it exactly as you explained with 1/3rd cup ratio and enjoyed a crisp romaine lettuce, shallot, chunky avocado salad with your well balanced garlic cashew dressing, I did not even miss the hot mashed potatoes that usually accompany my salads, your dressing is creamy, satisfying and very healthy as blood glucose remained stable after.
