20-minute Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta | One-pot Recipe

Serves 4

Cajun Seasoning

2 tsp x Smoked Paprika
1 tsp x Dried Oregano
1 tsp x Dried Thyme
1/2 tsp x Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp x Garlic Powder
1 tsp x Onion Powder
1/2 tsp x Ground Black Pepper
1/2 tsp x Salt

Chicken Pasta

500g x Chicken Breast (2 chicken Breast)
25ml x Olive Oil
30g x Butter
1 x Large Brown Onion (Diced)
1 x Red Bell Pepper (Diced)
1 x Green Bell Pepper (Diced)
1 x Clove of Garlic (Finely Grated)
500ml x Chicken Stock
200g x Dried Pasta
80g x Cream Cheese
2 x Spring Onions (Finely Sliced )
Salt and Black Pepper (to taste)

Method

1. To make the cajun seasoning, mix all of the ingredients together and place to one side until you’re ready to use it.

2. Next, cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and coat in the seasoning. Cover and place into the fridge until you’re ready to use it.

3. To prepare the vegetables, cut the onion and peppers into small dice and grate one clove of garlic on a microplane. Finely slice the spring onions and place them into a bowl along with a pinch of the diced red and green peppers ready to garnish with later.

4. Place a large sauté pan over medium-high heat and add in the olive oil followed by the butter. Once the butter is foaming, add in the cajun chicken. Seal off the chicken and remove it from the pan onto a plate. You do not need to cook the chicken completely at this stage. Place the pan back over the heat.

5. Add in the onions and peppers and cook for 4 minutes until soft then add in the garlic and cook for a further 1 minute. Pour in the chicken stock and bring to a simmer, add the chicken back into the pan along with the pasta. Mix and place a lid on, cook for 8 minutes stirring halfway through.

6. After 8 minutes remove the lid and stir through the cream cheese. Taste to check the seasoning and adjust with salt and pepper if needed.

7. Serve and garnish with the chopped spring onion and diced peppers you put to one side earlier on.

we are going to make a super quick one
po creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta in less
than 20 minutes to begin we’re going to
make the Cajun seasoning by placing 2
teaspoons of smoked paprika into a bowl
with 1 teaspoon of dried oregano 1
teaspoon of dried thyme half a teaspoon
of KM pepper 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder half a
teaspoon of ground black pepper and half
a teaspoon of salt mix those together
until they’re fully combined and then
set them to one side next take 500 G of
chicken breast that should be roughly
two chicken breasts and then cut them
into 1in size cubes I do this just by
slicing them into long strips and then
cutting those strips into cubes place
the chicken into a mixing bowl and then
coat them in the Cajun
seasoning mix the chicken until it’s
fully coated then cover and place in the
fridge until it’s ready to
use before we start the cooking process
we need to do a little bit of vegetable
prep so for that take one large or two
small brown onions top and tail them cut
them in half peel them and then finally
dice
them then take one red and one green
pepper remove the Flesh and cut them
into small dice as
well next take one clove of garlic peel
it and finally grate it on a microp
plane or you can crush it or chop it
that’s entirely up to you and then
finally we’ll take two spring onions
remove any of the outer leaves that look
a little bit Tatty and then slice them
up nice and thin place them into a bowl
along with a little pinch of the red and
green pepper and set that to one side
because that’s to garnish with later
next place a large sauté pan or any pan
you’ve got with a lid over medium high
heat and drizzle in 25 M of olive oil
and then add in 30 G of diced butter
heat it until you can see the butter
starting to form and then place in the
Cajun chicken this is just to seal off
the chicken and to allow the spices to
release the flavor we’re not it
completely through at this point once
the chicken’s fully sealed off remove it
from the pan and place the pan back over
the Heat next add in the diced onions
and diced peppers and gently cook them
for about 4 to 5 minutes until they’re
nice and soft you’ll notice that the
moisture from the onions and peppers
will remove any of the stuck on Chicken
on the bottom and that’s exactly what
you want after 4 to 5 minutes place in
the grated garlic and cook for a further
1 minute now add in five 100 ml of
chicken stock and bring it to a simmer
once simmering add the chicken back into
the
pan along with 200 g of dried pasta of
your choice mix everything together and
then place a lid on and leave it to cook
for 8 minutes giving it a stir halfway
through the cooking process after 8
minutes remove the lid and then spoon in
80 g of cream cheese stir it all
together until the cream cheese fully
melts into the sauce give give it a
little taste and season it with salt and
pepper if you need
to to serve spoon onto four plates or
bowls and finish with the sliced spring
onion and diced pepper we put aside
earlier on so that’s how I make this
delicious creamy cajun chicken one pot
pasta in less than 20 minutes I hope you
