yep you seen the title in the thumbnail
and if you’re anything like me you love
a good meat sauce pour it over your
spaghetti or any type of pasta of your
choosing but for me it’s those spaghetti
noodles and I’m going to show you guys
how to make it in a comfort of your own
home restaurant style y’all ready get in
your kitchen let’s go all right guys
let’s do a quick rundown of what we have
for today’s recipe back here we have our
crushed tomatoes back here we got some
ground beef here we’re going to use some
Italian sausage right here now guys you
can use all ground beef be you can leave
out the Italian sausage that’s totally
up to you but that mix of Italian and
ground beef sets it off I’m telling you
we have some wine here some fresh basil
bay leaves olive oil Italian seasoning
green peppers sugar red pepper flakes
fresh oregano kosher salt chopped garlic
onions and we have some tomato paste
here so let’s get to it all right so
we’re at our Dutch oven we’re going to
add our olive oil once that’s up the
temperature we’re going to add our
onions
along with our green
peppers and we’re going to cook this for
about 5 minutes until those veggies
soften guys let’s hit this with a little

salt so now that our veggies are
softened we’re going to go ahead and add
our
garlic going to cook these for another
minute or
so all right so after about that minute
what we’re going to do is we’re going to
start adding our ground
beef and our sausage and guys we’re
going to cook this until it’s brown and
cooked all the way through now guys
typically in most recipes you will
remove your onions your veggies rather
and cook them separate with this meat
sauce you don’t want to do that those
veggies have so so much flavors that’s
going to transfer right into that cooked
meat which is going to make it so

delicious all right guys so it looks
like we’re there now if you notice that
your meat has produced a lot of fat I
recommend you go ahead and draining that
off mine didn’t I typically the beef
that I use typically doesn’t produce a
lot of fat so I don’t have to drain it
off you can take a look in here you can
barely see in it I think that little bit
there is for Flavor now what we’re going
to do is we’re going to stir in our
tomato
paste along with our chili
flakes now we’re going to come behind
that with our crushed
tomatoes our red wine our Italian
seasoning our sugar kosher salt fresh
oregano fresh fresh basil and we’re
going to get that all stirred in guys
look at that vibrant color on that thing

there and guys we’re going to bring this
up to a boil real
quick all right we’re going to reduce
our heat down to low add our bay leaves
and guys I’m going add a little beef
broth in
here now if you don’t have beef broth
you can definitely use some water man
that’s looking good we going to cover
this baby up let it simmer for a minimum
of 30 minutes you can go all the way up
to an hour and a half but we’re going to
go at 30 minutes see what it’s like and
we may just push that limit to an hour
hour and a half all right all right guys
so we’re about 30 minutes in we’re going
to remove our lid let’s take a look at
what we have guys take a look at this
right here that’s a meat sauce right
there listen that’s a meat sauce look at
that
all right we’re going to I’m going to
let this cook for another 30 minutes man
I going to let this baby go ahead and
simmer let those flavors you know get
together and continue to talk to each
other and get married we’re going to let
that sit there for another 30 minutes
now if you want to finish it up here you
can I’m going to let mine go for another
30 minutes and then we’re going to come
right back all right all right guys so
we’re about an hour in we’re going to
remove our lid take a look at what we
have right here guys look at
this man doesn’t get any better than
that all right so the last thing we’re
going to do turn our heat off get rid of
these bay
leaves guys let’s get that over to our
cutting board for the final presentation
all right we just going to add some
fresh parlet to that just to add that
little color remember guys you ain’t got
that green stuff you ain’t

  1. I was always told that I was doing meat sauce wrong by not separating the veggies and meat in cooking them up. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who does that. I would like to let you know that I get the ground meat meant for making a meatballs and meatloaf because it has I think ground veal and pork besides the ground beef which to me sends it even more over the top along with the sausage.

  2. Everything you have for your meat sauce is the saaaaaame way I cook mine. I've just never added bay leaves before. I usually get hot Sicilian sausage too. I got no complaints. Your sauce looks good. Might make some tomorrow.

  3. I made this a couple nights ago and it came out fantastic, even after I botched it a bit by adding too much pasta. It's still awesome and it yielded a lot of food, which is perfect for meal prep.
