How to make sweet potato fries in the toaster oven. I used yams to make these sweet potato fries. I cut the potatoes up and seasoned them with brown sugar, and apple pie spice and then baked them in the toaster oven. This is another one of my easy recipes.

everybody tinman here welcome to my easy
Cooking Channel what I have here is a
couple yams and they’re starting to
sprout a little bit so what I do is wash
these and knock the sprouts off of them
and then I’m going to cut them into
pieces and make some fries out of them
all right I sliced my yams up and I left
them in pretty good sized pieces and I
left the peelings on just because I like
the peelings but you could take the
peelings off if you don’t like them I
just like to do things as easy as
possible so I put a little olive oil on
there now and I’m going to put a little
bit of brown sugar on there and also
this apple pie spice and this has
cinnamon nutmeg and allspice in it and
this allspice will get earthís apple pie
spice will give it a really nice flavor
it’ll taste almost kind of like pumpkin
pie
so I’m just going to mix all this up and
then we’re going to pop these in the
toaster oven okay my sliced up yams are
all coated with olive oil the brown
sugar and the apple pie spice set the
toaster oven to 400 degrees and we’ll
just let them cook until they get soft
okay it’s been about 20 minutes let’s
see yeah how these are looking here look
really nice basically I just want them
to be like fork-tender in this case
knife tender
it looks like they’re good so that’s
about 20 minutes so there’s how these
things look when they’re all done they
smell a lot like pie if you like pumpkin
pie or candy dams I think she’d like
these things here’s the apples apple pie
spice I was talking about
so it’s called apple pie spice and these
things are almost like dessert one night
my wife and I were dipping these and
whittling and eat them just like that so
hope you guys would give these a try
thanks for watching and I’ll talk to you
guys next time

  1. Looked great..no need to heat up the whole house, when the toaster oven will get the job done….like the addition of apple pie spice.

  2. Looks like a winner to me Jim. I'm not real big on yams but the way you spiced them up would have me tearing into them. Plus they're really good for you.

  3. The apple pie spice seasoning was a stroke of genius! It's amazing that something so simple could turn out so tasty! MMM! Great job!

  4. Those look de-licious! I always forget if yams and sweet potatoes are the same or different. Who knows? Lol. They both are delicious, although I hated them as a kid. Haha. That pie seasoning is fancy/cool! People are ridiculous…that many thumbs down…equal to the likes…really?? Lame!

  5. You rock my friend!  I am not much for posting any comments and I believe this is my 3rd or 4th one.  I am 2 videos deep into your channel and let me say the last one left me mouth watering… it was the pulled pork one.  Thank you for making these.

  6. can you let me know two things. Do you preheat the oven? Can you line the baking pan with parchment paper or foil?

  7. Thanks. Looks good. But a note: skin is not "peelings". Peelings are what you have after the skin is peeled away from the vegetable.
