Follow up: How I usually do spicy ramen. Yes, those black bits are whole pepper corns. Yes, I’m frying pre-prepared ramen in a wok.
Cooked with chicken, red and green bell pepper, fresh jalapeño, and brussel sprouts. Carolina reaper flakes and cayenne powder were indeed included. 🔥

Gotta ask, why the whole peppercorns?

Idk about anyone else but that looks fuckin good to me. I love the idea of the whole peppercorns, little explosions of flavor. Did you steam the brussel sprouts in advance??

Have you ever considered uh cracking them peppercorns…? A very coarse grind just seems the better experience

That honestly looks like it’d taste way better than it looks.
I normally put some cheese, chopped onion and an egg at the end while I’m stiring it all up in the pan.
Started doing it because I’m a bitch who couldn’t handle the heat of 2x buldak but it’s kinda stuck now and I like the texture and flavor it gives.

Are those peppercorns the hard or soft ones? The soft ones from a jar are great, not sure I would like the hard ones

It looks great. I’d definitely fight you over the last plate of this.

Do you boil the noodles first, or just straight from the package to the wok? Using oil?
