This was freaking off the chain delicious. I was inspired by another person on here who posted a little while ago that they did this with Halo Top but my gut struggles with certain sugar substitutes and I really don't care for the taste of most diet ice creams. Store bought FroYo tends to have much higher calories per gram too. So this was a good option for me.

It's just homemade vanilla bean FroYo (swipe for recipe) with a peeled and baked Granny Smith apple with cinnamon and I added a tiny pinch of oatmeal (like 3g worth), some peanut butter, a small amount of nature valley honey protein granola and a pinch of Birchwood smoked salt on top.

To make the baked apple, I preheated the oven to 350°F (~177°C) and peeled and chopped one Granny Smith apple, sprayed a touch of coconut oil spray on top to lube it up a bit and then sprinkled the cinnamon on top. I baked it for about 20-25 minutes but you could certainly bake longer if you want them softer.

Both the vanilla bean powder and the smoky salt came from a place called "Slofoodgroup" online (not sponsored but hell I wish they would, lol.) They also sell stuff like bulk vanilla beans which I use to make my own homemade vanilla extract which I also used in my FroYo recipe. When the vanilla beans are done making the extract, I toss them in my tea! The Monkfruit drops are optional. I got a small bottle of them to try out because all the other stuff bugs me. This stuff doesn't bother me though but you could easily omit it because the apple is pretty sweet. I used a Whynter ice cream machine to make the FroYo. Basically just combine all the ingredients into one bowl then add them to your ice cream maker and run it. Stop the machine when it starts to get firm and put it in the freezer.

But yeah, this was sooooo delicious! I macro'd out an Oreo option too in order to compare homemade to the Yasso Oreo bars and I got a better bang for the buck with homemade so I think I'll be trying that next.
