here’s a quick and easy recipe to make
for Carta in your air fryer and this is
the perfect recipe for those sunny days
ahead for the recipe you’re going to
need some digital scales a glass bowl
and we’re going to weigh out 250 g of
strong bread flour this flour is high in
protein which makes the bread nice and
stretchy next up 2.5 g of ground table
salt now in a separate glass jug we’re
going to weigh out the wet
ingredients we need luk warm water at
blood temperature to activate the yeast
too hot and the yeast is going to die
weigh out 150 ml of warm water too cold
and the yeast would take hours to prove
now to the warm water 7.5 G of Casta
sugar and now we’re going to sprinkle in
some dry active yeast 4 G of
yeast this helps activate the yeast and
I like dried yeast cuz is more
consistent and now to this we’re going
to add 25 G of olive oil and once the
olive oil oil is in we’re going to give
it a good mix and this is going to
dissolve the sugar activate the yeast
and the sugar is going to feed that
yeast to give the yeast energy and food
to help it grow and now we’re going to
leave the yeast to hydrate and activate
and do its work now taking the dough
hook on the mixer we’re going to add the
flour to the bowl once our flour and
salt mixture is in the bowl it’s time to
gently pour in our yeasty sugary olive
oil
liquid important Chef’s tip scrape it
all in it’s part of the
recipe now clicking down the lid we’re
going to turn the mixer onto full
power we’re going to mix the dough for
about 5 minutes releasing the gluten
from the dough and we’re going to wait
until we hear the dough slapping against
the side of the bowl like a smack bottom
we’re going to lift the lid and the
dough should be nice and glossy and have
a really good stretch to it this silky
finish is a sign that the gluten has
been released from the flow now time to
scrape it off the hook and give the
dough its f first prove and to do this
we’re going to cover the dough up with
cling film a damp cloth or tin foil and
I like to put the time on top so I know
how long it’s been proving should take
about an hour in a warm room we’re
waiting for it to double in size and
while the dough is proving I’m going to
pick some fresh thyme from the herb
garden for this recipe you can use fresh
Rosemary or thyme but I have some great
thme in the garden at the moment so I
want to use it now after giving the time
a good wash this time is really nice and
soft and not too hard branchy if you
know what I mean so we need 20 G of
roughly chopped thyme or
Rosemary then of course thyme or
Rosemary partner perfect with fresh
garlic so for this we’re going to need
one clove of garlic
peeled and then slice down nice and
[Music]
thinly just like this not too thin cuz
if it’s too thin it’s going to burn when
you put in the air fryer not too thick
cuz you don’t want it to be bitter just
like
this now as we come into summer there’s
one thing that goes really well with
garlic and herbs and that is really ripe
organic fresh cherry tomatoes and for
this recipe I’m going to use 1 2 3 four
cherry
tomatoes and for the fataa I’m going to
cut the cherry tomatoes in half in a
crosssection across the seeds just like
this four cherry tomatoes they smell
amazing very
summery now once your dough has doubled
in size we’re going to add it to the air
fryer basket I’ve used Grease paper a
little liner in this case but actually
it cooked better without the paper so I
would recommend doing it without the
paper I’m pushing it down like playing a
piano and these little indents turn into
perfect pockets for olive oil garlic and
herbs to slip into when you cook
it and now I’m going to evenly place the
cherry tomatoes into the
[Music]
dough then scattering of the sliced
garlic all over the top evenly across
the
[Music]
and then next a good scattering of the
chopped thyme or
Rosemary it’s already smelling
incredible and it hasn’t even been
cooked yet next 3 G of sea salt or fresh
table
salt and now to finish 7 mL of extra
virgin olive oil and now we’re going to
cover this up and give it another 20
minutes to prove just a double in size
and now the bread has proved it’s going
into the air fryer 175 5 C for about 20
[Music]
minutes of course with an air fryer it’s
easy to check the progress so let’s take
a
look it’s looking and smelling great of
course different air fryers will give
you different results so if it’s still
soft on the bottom put it back in for
longer or you can experiment with or
without the tray at the bottom look at
that perfect for cure in 20 minutes in
the air fryer and it tastes amazing
