Dust your baking sheet with flour or cornmeal, or use parchment paper
bunskerskey
Put another cookie sheet on the lower rack between the rolls and bottom of the oven mid bake

Oh goodness, that is disappointing. What temp are you baking at, assuming using middle rack position? Silicone mats insulate more than parchment paper. I keep a cast iron sheet or pizza stone on the bottom shelf if I am baking bread at higher heat to protect the baking tray from direct heat from the element kicking on and off (electric oven).

Have had this happen when I apply too much egg wash and it seems underneath etc

You’ve seen the second baking sheet solution. You’ve seen the cornmeal solution. There is one more thing: on the lower rack, preheat a baking stone along with the oven when you preheat. Leave the baking stone in place on the bottom rack, and place the double baking sheets with the buns on the middle rack. Oh…you could also try using the upper-third rack instead of the middle rack.

It evens out!
What kind of oven do you have?
You can run the bottom over a cheese grater

You can still salvage them. Grate the burnt side
