6.8/10 – UGH. This one had so much potential to be great. After uncapping it, I immediately noticed a bunch of dark chunks. I was really hoping it was dark chocolate and black cherries 50/50. Nope. About 97% dark chocolate chunks. Now, I’m not a huge fan of chocolate but I thoroughly enjoy when it’s done right. Slamming a bunch of darko chunks into a cherry ice cream is not it. I tried to pick around the copious amount of choco chunks and noticed the cherry flavor is lacking a bit even by itself. VLW would gain 2 points instantly for less chocolate chunks and more black cherry chunks + flavor. If you like dark chocolate with a hint of cherry, this is definitely an ice cream for you. I will finish this pint eventually, but in multiple settings.
