I know this isn’t technically salsa. but I’ve seen a few people posting experimental chipotle mayo.

has anyone here gotten close to recreating or improving upon this mayo?

it’s fairly balanced and is great for quesadillas.

the only problem is the price! it keeps increasing and i can’t justify buying it out of principle.

Yes! Put mayo and a can of chipotle peppers in adobo in a blender and puree it. So good on sandwiches. To tone it down a bit, you can take out a couple chiles before pureeing. Also, the Boar’s Head chipotle mayo is actually pretty fire.

I’ve not had this one, but my go-to is mayo, chipotles, adobo, squirt of lemon, s&p. Start light on the lemon, s&p, and chipotles, add more to taste.

Yeah, this guys are ripping off a basic salsa. Mayo, crema, chilpotle in adobo. Some onion (maybe) and lime juice as a variant. Classic fish taco “salsa”. For fucks sake…

Before I saw the light and found the ‘Snobs here on Reddit, my first attempt at a spicy condiment was to simply puree a can of chipotle in adobo in my Cuisinart.

It’s remarkably good all on it’s own.
