I’ve never been a big fan of Chipotle sauces, finding them usually to be too sweet and a bit one note.

This one is one that I really enjoy. The addition of ghost peppers brings some needed heat and bite, and the garlic and cumin play against the sweetness of the chipotles and dates to keep it from being cloyingly sweet.

Heat level is between medium and medium-high, the ghost peppers are pretty far down the ingredient list so they’re adding a little kick but it’s still a very approachable sauce.
