Dual birthday party to celebrate my daughter and my mom!
My daughter requested a cinnamon cake with cream cheese frosting. I decorated it to look like a tree stump/fairy house using sugar cookie door/windows, meringue mushrooms, buckeye hedgehogs, SMBC flowers piped with Russian tips, vanilla bark (dyed brown), a couple caramel butterflies (they didn’t fare well in the fridge, haha), and Oreo dirt.
For my mom, I made a cannoli cake with ricotta/mascarpone filling between the layers and frosted with marbled vanilla and chocolate buttercream, chocolate ganache drip, and topped with cannolis, piping, and cherries 🙂
