Caribbean-Style Mango-Habanero Hot Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
5 habanero peppers chopped
1 mango peeled and chopped
1 small white onion chopped (about 3/4 cup)
4 cloves garlic chopped
½ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ cup water
2 tablespoons honey
¼ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 teaspoon salt
Cooking Directions
Add all ingredients to a food processor. Process until smooth.
Add to a large pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cool then transfer to serving bottles.

Just finished making this sauce. More or less followed this recipe, but swapped out the habanero for ghost peppers and added an 1/8th cup of cane sugar.
is it necessary to cook/simmer it? or can it go right into the bottle?
Can this be used as a marinade ?
If this is Caribbean style, why using ingredients which are not common in the Caribbean kitchen? Mango hotsauce isn’t that difficult to make. You need less ingredients and elmulgate mango first, than adding a few other ingredients! That’s how Caribbean mango hotsauce is made in the Caribbean.
How many peppers did you put in there
can the habanero be replaced with jalapeno?

Wow what an amazing recipe. I used frozen mango as already done, not lazy just didn't fancy faffing. So easy to do. Hubby likes it, just got to try it on my other boys when they visit x
grew habanero's this year for about the 4 time but this year i got a bumper crop not like the last 3 years of nothing
