five years guys from her surgery date
how do you feel I’m G intervie you for a
hot second well there’s a lot going on
in my life now how do you feel about
your
sleeve uh well I mean obviously I I feel
good about myself I’ve lost the regain
that I had I feel like I’m finally
getting into my groove of what bariatric
life is supposed to look like not that
first year not through trauma not
through any of that just like normal
daytoday bariatric I I I can see it yeah
slowly happening really really I even
opened up my yoga mat today guys she’s
unopened
be he because it’s blue um oh don’t do
gender bias I’m just saying like in my
no in my brain I think pink girl blue
boy that’s true so it’s not gender bias
it’s just my own
head never mind never mind she’s wild so
anyways congratulations Kelly thank you
I’m very proud of you you’ve done a lot
of work you’ve done so many things
especially in the last few years yeah
it’s been really it’s really amazing
year I would say like you lose all the
weight then like life hits you and then
you went to therapy and like now it’s
just like in a whole different directory
instead of going just
like went up yeah I’m going up going up
all right and she’s not far behind me I
know next month on the 17th I turn nine
years oldid yeah we will actually be in
Florida oh cool yeah we’ll be in Florida

can’t wait so excited they’re gonna have

what we’re excited about because we’ve
gone to every prom together we gone to

prepare it I had to prepare it and I
don’t like it I don’t like it oh yeah

like I am not a peasant so the next
night what did I or the next day pulled
out my just Meats because I I’m not
doing that again I don’t like it I don’t
like going to the store and picking it
out I don’t first world problems I know
I don’t like picking it out at the store
I don’t like paying for it at the store
I don’t like bringing it home and having
to cut off the fat because I don’t do
fat you don’t do F I don’t do fat then
you also don’t like diving it up into
different sections I do not I do not
like that I do not like it at all
there’s so many things you don’t like

long time I was in labor for 19 hours so

we are doing sweet and spicy pork yes so
we are doing a three steps that’s it
three step stir fry using just meat’s
sweet and spicy pork I’m hoping it’s not
too spicy so we brought back the cooking
episodes because we want to show you you
can eat healthy high protein and you can
do it quickly yes quickly yeah and it
just coincided that we had just like
really started getting back into the
cooking with the what’s oslp cooking and
then just me came into our lives just me
came into our Liv and the rest history
the rest is history so Mel is going to
do you want me to cut this open could
you cut it open yes so the two rules in
the kitchen is put your hair up when you
have when you have long hair and then
two is wash your
hands it’s right behind you oh
okay I got it so so literally it’s so
freaking like vacuum sealed it’s a [ __ ]
to actually open so Kelly it has to use
a knife like I can’t use my nails
there’s not a pool tab oh this looks
freaking amazing so I am so excited show
them okay show AI what it looks
like look at how good that is smells
amazing I know and the best part it’s
pre-cooked
guys oh yummy okay so the one thing we
wanted to tell you too there’s a couple
cool things about just me that people
don’t know about so this is a full pound
of meat now this is a full pound of meat
after it’s been cooked and after is has
its marinade so which means you’re
getting more meat for the price because
I know when I go to the store I get a
pound of meat and then really I get like
three fours of a pound after I’m done
cooking it because of all the
preservatives and water so that’s one of
the really cool things also literally
there’s four servings in here which I
feel like those are big portions I think
so too well especially for our little
tummies you guys can have this for so
long yeah Kelly did you do a thumbs down
no
thumbs up oh it’s because I was drying
my hands I was drying my hands food okay
so serving guys dad Rob’s on what up Dad
Rob so for literally for each serving
it’s 35 grams of protein this is a hell
of a meal well and we were just
discussing last night with Dad Rob how
we should be getting those high protein
meals each meal yes so that’s a perfect
example of that 100% so this is how it’s
going to be easy because it’s already
pre-cooked ready to go I’m just heating
it up making it look pretty and then
there’s just two other things that go to
our three step process yep so you start
the meat I’m going to start commute and
we did get a question today about um so
I’m G to turn that a little that way and
turn you guys so you can kind of see me
um so there was a question today that we
got how long can you freeze these for oh
yeah and so I think it’s really
important so when they are vacuum sealed
not opened in the fridge they are good
for $10 14 days which is still a very
long shelf life for me when they are
frozen they are good to four to six
months yes four to six months like you
can
order crazy to me it’s just suggested
like I would go [ __ ] three four more
of course she would of course Frozen
yeah man okay Priscilla the great says
just listen to your pod today with the
surgeon really encouraged me to begin my
journey yay so EX excited that is what
we like yes okay so second step of this
process so first step Mel’s going to
cook the meat yep and then I am going to
pop in the microwave this bird’s eye oh
this is stove top never never mind I
can’t do I you can do it the way you
want it to Y never mind so what she’s
gonna do is she’s gonna put the meat in
get it get it going and then we’re going
to open this and we’re going to pour all
that in there and this has broccoli bok
choy carrots red bell peppers yellow
bell peppers and onions with a sweet and
savory teriyaki sauce which we felt
would pair perfect with the sweet and
spicy pork so I’m very excited about
this so I will get this open for you
then thank you ma’am so step two open
the frozen
vegetables I mean there’s going to be
obviously More Than Just Three Steps but
it’s really just three main ingredients
three main ingredients and like it’s
just nice because I’m gonna put this
over here so you can pour that in with
ready so the third step to this once all
of these things that Mel’s cooking are
put together is you pop this rice Pila
in the microwave now you do not have to
do Rice if you want to just do the the
veggies and the meat that is a perfectly
okay meal that’s a really solid meal
it’s a solid meal for you especially
early on well well yeah espcially that
first year you’re not going to even
touch you don’t have room for this like
it’s not about that it’s bad no it’s not
bad but here’s the science behind it you
chew it up you put it in your tummy it
expands that is true that’s the problem
with rice it does expand have you double
checked on that yeah Dr Patterson cool
yeah my surgeon told me that she that’s
why she told me I couldn’t have rice she
also she literally told me I couldn’t
have rice for life and I was
like I mean she’s not wrong I probably
shouldn’t have put it back on my diet
but well but there’s nothing wrong with
having it it’s not like you have it
every night I don’t or every meal it’s
really every Thursday yeah a lot of our
stuff because rice is such an easy
additive to any meal um you know the one
I did like my favorite so far I have to
tell you guys was the flatbread pizza
that was really good that was so good
now if you are wondering what the hell
I’m talking about because you didn’t
catch that live we are going to very
soon have a spot on the website where
all of the these recipes live so you can
actually go in and download the recipe
and use it at home so just keep on

so what makes me uncomfortable is um I
don’t know the consistency for to make
it not burn or get too dry I know how to
manage my butter though to make
it that’s right I know how to manage my
butter and your moistness and yeah the
moistness Kelly the moistness you use of
my paper towels there was only two paper
towels your booty then okay anyways here
you guys go let’s let’s see this yes I

does not like to touch meat well I
noticed I in the K I will actually like
do more with the meat if I have gloves
on like I feel
more comfortable comfortable yeah it’s
all about being comfortable guys I love

comfortability man yeah well how many
times did you feel uncomfortable when
you before surgery oh pretty much every
day every day every second of the day we
were uncomfortable yeah so now I’m
looking for all the way oh and you know
comfortable yeah well I mean that makes
sense and speaking of uncomfortability
you want take that I got it speaking of
uncomfortability Summer’s turning like
coming right around the corner right and
I remember every summer I
dreaded dealing with the summer heat
because I was big I was uncomfortable
like I don’t know if you guys know this
but put the rice sorry oh okay let me
put the rice in I need to put the rice
in because this gonna cook fast and I
need to
put the um veggies in put the veggies in
then rice is in all right keep going
okay so when I was big I liked my house
like Ice Cube level right and the air
conditioner stopped working so we called
the air conditioner guy out and he
actually told me that I froze the air
conditioner I forgot about this and that
I lived in the coldest house he had ever
been in I believe it I would go to your
house [ __ ] for a reason yeah but it
was because I was so big and I was
uncomfortable and like sweating and just
yeah it was not it was not comfortable
so yeah we’re I’m very excited every T
every year now for summer because I’m
like I don’t have to worry about that I
can wear shorts I am more comfortable
with my body I’m more comfortable with
myself like it’s just like I get excited
when the sun is shining and I get to
like I don’t even turn on the air
conditioner in my car most of the time
that’s I was gonna say what’s really
funny about summertime now for us is
like because we’re so used to beic F
that like when it’s hot we’re like this
is perfect yep
we’re so used to being cold all the
[ __ ] time and even when we sweat
we’re just like it’s sweaty yeah only
time I like sweat sweat is if I’m

only meat sometimes only protein shakes

like a couple years out you can actually
finally have veggies again and you’re
like oh yeah veggies were good you know
veggies are good they actually are
really good especially if they’re cook

what I love like I feel it on lips but
the fact that this is Prett cooked comes
straight to your door this could be a

have this at my

several people that live with me we
couldn’t fit the just Meats in my
freezer so Katie took it over and then
as as I got room I was like bring him

still packed full have so many I think

literally you can cut this with a pork

about the brisket last week is that it

same and it’s definitely a candy bar
it’s definitely a me replacement let’s

is we just cut these in fours and then
now it is in actual dessert for everyone

chocolate I’m okay sered me though
anywhere I would be like this is pretty
cool I’m not gonna lie both of them
nope chocolate all the way which is very
unlike me I’m more of a cookie dough fan
she is the chocolate yeah yummy yeah I
like these I’m so happy that after
dinner we got a h treat that doesn’t
suck that is true actually the last two
nights or two weeks last two Thursdays
we have had a good vlog with the bars we
were very excited last week was Anna bar
um which I did figure out something the
reason why I kept tasting peanut butter
is because there’s actually so it’s a
it’s a peanut butter based bar which so
makes a lot more sense also if you have
any allergies don’t eat that bar I’m not
a cookie dough or cookie and cream fan
really I don’t care for cookies and
cream I’m more of a cookie dough or just
the basic chocolate chip man you are are
a chocolate chip fan so I wanted to eat
some look at her she getting her food
I’m very proud of you k I’m telling you
that that pork is so good it’s so good
but all right so it has come time oh we
