Local folks selling a $100 silver b. These always intrigued me with their build quality. Currently have a spirit 2 burner which works okay. Thoughts on the silver?

Yes! I’m still pissed I got rid of mine that was gifted to me from my grandma. It was the exact same model too.

100 bucks is a steal. Give it a good cleaning and fire it up. Mine is a twin to it. I would pull the firebox off it, then repaint the rusted areas. I pulled the plugs out of mine and shot paint into it and used a cheap bottle brush to spread it inside the tubes. It’s the one spot they have issues. You can see the rust starting on the one corner. Kill that with some ospho run over the rust to kill the rust then paint.

Yep. You won’t find a better grill for the price.

Hell yeah. I got one in good shape from a guy who was selling off his deceased father’s stuff. Paid $50 for it and had to rent a truck from Home Depot to get it home. All in probably $125. That was probably 12 years ago. Still going strong. The only thing I need to do to it this season is replace the flavorizor bars. They’ve rusted to shit.

It’s worth it. My 2003 silver C is still going strong. I have replaced the flavorizer bars several times and am still using the second set of burners. Replaced the igniter and the grates. The first part that failed was the plastic nut on the tank regulator hose, which was replaced free of charge under warranty. My experience with Weber has always been great, and parts were always available when needed. I plan to keep mine going until parts are no longer available.
