We got some of this to cook for a family member who is allergic to soy. It's tofu made out of fava beans and is at our local Publix grocery store. https://bigmountainfoods.com/products/soy-free-tofu
The weird thing is that it has no fat or carbs. They claim it is made with a traditional tofu making process but that doesn't sound right.

I know this is getting into territory of ‘are we allowed to call oat milk and a milk’ but is it actually a tofu?
I tried it but didn’t like the texture as much as regular tofu
I don’t know about that brand in particular, but you can make tofu out of most legumes, if this woman on youtube is any indication [https://www.youtube.com/@marystestkitchen](https://www.youtube.com/@marystestkitchen)
I’ve only heard good things about it. But I don’t have problems eating soy tofu so I’ll get 3 or 4 packs instead of how much their fava bean tofu costs!
I do buy it Because the macros are great. It’s not as good as soy tofu but you can treat it the same. I like the smoked one the best. I make fajita veggies and shred the smoked one in with the veggies for tacos. The regular one is best if you marinate it or sauce it or something though.
I’ve had it-slightly different color and texture but as others have said, you treat it like regular tofu. Used it for a dish for my sister since she has a sensitivity to soy.
