Hey there! I’m growing purple Cherokee tomatoes from seed for the first time this year and just posting to see if people have advice on anything I should be doing differently at this stage. At the beginning the plants were growing pretty well but they are no longer getting bigger and have been about the same size for a few weeks now.

In the photo one of my purple Cherokees is on the left next to my cherry tomato plants that are growing a whole lot better in the same conditions. I didn’t see anything online about special growing care for this plant so I’m just curious if others have had success growing this variety (or another heirloom) and might have some tips.

They are slow growers but they will get there. Heirlooms are a little finicky and susceptible to pest issues especially at the early stage. Right now I wouldn’t worry just pay attention
