(Gevery-Chambertin- Dupont Tisserandot 2007). I mostly drink non Pinot stuff when I have French wines. Im cheap I guess. And selection is not great in my price range. (I like Pinot it just not my thing-sorry Sideways)

This has been on the wine rack forever. I thought it would be over the hill because its not high end. Its fine. Light red color. a little must/earth nose (is this forest floir?). I just know Cali/Wash Pinot do not have it. Red fruit good acidity/ tannins still there. Fine finish. I look forward to the next one.

Yes this is white wine glass. Someone gave me shit for my wine glasses so im doubling down. 😂

Kudos for jumping into red Burgundy at this level and with the knowledge that it can be as pricey as it is.

If cost is an obstacle, you might want to check out Cru Beaujolais (not as cheap as it was, but a Domaine des Billards St. Amour or a Guy Breton Cote de Brouilly will give you beautiful earth and fruit at the $30-ish price point, and is technically from Burgundy, albeit made with Gamay as opposed to Pinot Noir).

Have you explored white Burgundy? As expensive as it can often be, I’ve had better luck on QPR with it. You might enjoy a premier Cru from Chablis or Pernand-Vergelesses between $35 and $50.

And yeah, drink that shit from a $2.50 bodega glass if you want. It’s still delicious.

Edit: It’s worth seeking out some Hautes-Cotes-de-Nuits if you want good QPR red or white Burgundy! As I understand it, they weren’t getting ripe enough before global warming kicked in, but now they’re great. A bittersweet perk to this climate change thing.
