What caused this pattern to form on the wine glass?

Probably some etching in the glass where tartrates and tannins have stuck too or maybe even spots that had some soap residue where the sediment formed around it. Almost seems like the pattern of a paper towel or some microfiber towels

Seems like crystal growth of the solids (tartaric acid etc.) left on the glass from the evaporated wine.
