I got this grill for free from my parents. It has a couple of problem areas – especially the top of the burner cover. Stepdad is a great guy, but little common sense. Didn’t take some stickers off and the clear plastic coating all the way off of the right door. I’ve been using my smoker for the past couple of years and previously only used a small charcoal grill. How can I get this puppy looking brand new?

Also, any grilling advice/accessories input is welcome. Thanks!

I use Clean Freak it’s great for stainless steel. What’s stuck on the side burner lid?
    Looks like a great grill

I had similar…elbow grease and Goo Gone for the rough spots. Great find!

Barkeepers Friend, a bit of water and a dish sponge if you want to polish up the stainlesss and make her shine

Barkeepers friend for outside. The inside I would getting large debris out. Heat it up to max flame and let it sit for 20minutes to petrify any oily bits. Let cool and start scraping.

WTF is going on with your side burner cover. No cleaning agent is going to fix that damage

Side burner cover is available as a separate part if you want it to look fancy . Go to Weber’s website and on the help section there’s a schematic archive. Plug in the model or serial number that’s on the grill and it will show you all the part numbers for that grill.

Side burner cover looks like the burner may have accidentially been turned on with the cover closed. I did that to the first grill I had with a side burner. I kicked myself for that one but still use it years later. Nobody really cares but me. Lesson learned.

Maybe try some goo-gone on the sticker? Otherwise you can get a replacement through Weber.

Barkeepers friend for the rest of the outside.

Nothing can be done it’s a hopeless mess. I’ll be right over to pick it up.
