My 5 year old brought this unknown little guy home from his kindergarten class. I'm going to up pot this weekend but have no idea what it is (and wasn't expecting to have something else to manage on top of our peppers, tomatoes and onions lol.) Any help identifying so I can figure out how best to grow this?

I think either a pepper or maybe an orange? Not sure

  2. It looks like a baby green bean. One plant won’t be hard to manage. Put it into a 5-gallon pot, give it a little support (maybe your kid can find a couple of sticks about 18 inches long, and he can stick one in the dirt on either side of the pot and you can help him tie a string across between the sticks (on both sides of the plant, maybe a foot up. Once it gets that high), a little fertilizer, and water when needed, then your kid can harvest the beans once they get big enough, then help you trim and cook them, and learn a lot about growing food!

Bean plant! Teacher here – they sprout the quickest and are fairly hardy. Sorry for the unwanted plants hah I just sent my class home with either sunflowers or pea plants, surprise parents!
