Trying to setup my new big joe all the pie es are under the ring but can't seem to align. What am I doing wrong?

To my eye, the round ceramic at the bottom isn’t correctly positioned. Without that in the right spot, the petals won’t properly seat.

Are the really in the rings gap? Last time it took mee some wiggling before the slabs where nice and tight in the rings gap. Try to press the ring lightly to feel if the slaps are all the way in there.

Use paper on the back of the leafs to get it up

I’ve never been able to get mine perfectly aligned, still use it though, not sure what effect misalignment would have

Thanks everyone got it sorted the comments put me in the right direction! Battle of the ring is complete and now doing a burn in
