hey everyone welcome back to our channel before we start our video please subscribe my YouTube channel and hit the Bell icon today we’re going to try something new and exciting Loom a delicious Turkish delight that you can find at many street food vendors and supermarkets in the Philippines so let’s Dive Right In and enjoy this delightful treat first let’s talk about what locom is locom is a spongy sweet and chewy pastry made from a simple batter filled with sweetened condensed milk and sometimes chocolate chips it’s believed to have originated in the Anatolia region of turkey and has become a popular dessert in the Philippines and other SOI Asian countries now let’s get into the making of locom start by whisking together for cups of allpurpose flour one cups of sugar cup of unsalted butter and 1 teaspoon of baking powder in a large bowl once the mixture is smooth add for large eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition then fold in 16 oz of sweetened condensed milk and 16 oz of evaporated milk until the batter is smooth pour the batter into a greased and flowed loaf pan smoothing the top with a spatula bake the Locum for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean allow it to cool completely completely on a wire rack while The locom Cools make the syrup by combining one cup of sugar and one cup of water in a saucepan and heating it over medium heat until the sugar dissolves once the locom is completely cooled use a small knife to cut a small hole in the middle and invert it onto a serving plate pour the warm syrup into the locom and voila you have a delicious and satisfying Turkish delight that’s perfect for sharing with Friends and family enjoy
