Is this 3L bottle of 2011 Rioja still good to drink?
Total novice here. We have a massive 3L 2011 bottle of this Crianza Rioja that has always been stored upright and never opened. Will it still be good to drink? Thanks!

Being upright isn’t much of an issue, but storing anywhere hot will have been. As Rioja goes, 2011 is relatively recent, so it should still be good. 2011 was also a good vintage, so hopefully it will be enjoyable. The large size will have helped preserve it. Once you open it, it all needs to be drunk within a couple of days, you can’t really keep wine long once it has been opened.

Might be worth investing in a Coravin which would allow you to enjoy it a little at a time over a longer period.
