    The components sound nice and I like the colors, but the splatter looks a bit gross and I’d replace the piece of cinnamon bark (I think?) with something edible.

    Anything that resembles semen in color and texture should not be dragged on a plate.

    The only reason, (in my mostly savory background opinion) is that you should add negative space if the two groups of things are RADICALLY different, or if them being in proximity would rapidly decline the quality of the overall dish. Like having a carrageenan custard served cold set aside from a hot protein or something.
