I had a friend whose mother made delicious oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips, nuts and raisins. She would make them for her husband when he was in Vietnam. They were moist enough to not get stale in the mail. I’ve lost the recipe and might give these a try!

I have this recipe in Sunset magazine’s “Easy Basics for Good Cooking” cookbook. Makes a delicious cookie. Chocolate chips, no raisins.
