Olive loaf is amazing. It’s salty and briney, so adding toppings like tomato and/or lettuce works perfectly with it. Most people hate it or won’t try it though.

I remember when I was in the 3rd grade, some kid’s mom brought olive loaf to some parent/kid party. And no one touched it, because THIRD GRADERS.

I love olives, and I have never managed to find olive loaf as an adult. I’m glad this memory wasn’t just a fever dream.

Olive loaf fucking rules. Say you don’t like it, that’s fine. I don’t want to hear any dramatic “uggghhh 🤮🤮🤮🤮olive loaf is so nasty I can’t even look at it” man baby shit lol. Eat your nuggies in silence, ho!

Why does that thing look like an AI rendering of Trump?

  7. The one time I spent time with my dad I was 8 and I went to work with him. His girlfriend at the time made him lunch which contained a sandwich of olive loaf, American cheese and miracle whip on wonder bread. She made one sandwich and I only got one bite but it’s been burned in my memory.

I wish I could find some. I was thinking about this just a couple months back.

Bravo to you sir. I must remember to get some olive loaf soon. I ate this pretty often as a kid.

Well I’m on a low sodium diet so olive loaf is out but personally I have always been about turkey baby. Good turkey though from a deli never the prepacked.

How could I have forgotten about this!?! I need to work The Loaf back into my sandwich repertoire. Thanks for reminding me, OP!

Tomorrow I’m making a t-shirt that says “olive loaf”. And I’m starting a band called Olive Loaf.

    WE ARE LEGION!!!

I love olive loaf but haven’t seen it in forever. That said, I will, happily add thin slices of green olives to my mortadella sandwiches, which is as close as I can get to the real thing.

More of a BBQ loaf fan… Olives aren’t my jam but I get it! Enjoy!

There were two things in our fridge that were off limits. Dad’s Miller High Life and Dad’s olive loaf. But you know I was dippin into both!

Because it’s cheap, briney, and has a unique texture.

    goated

Never tried it. I know they have it at my deli. I’m getting it on my next sandwich. What goes on the sandwich to best compliment the olive loaf? Cheese? (Publix deli btw… good ole pub-subs.)

  21. Aggravating-Leg-3693

Why does that sandwich look like my uncle?

  22. DaWalt1976

    Eh.

I’m far more preferable to darker breads. I am generally supposed to eat white on the regular, and that makes the darker breads a treat.

Rye is a particular favorite. Especially if everything is hot and it contains Pastrami, Swiss & brown mustard.

Ugh. Middle of the night and now I’m drooling.
