New York Style Pizza Sauce

1 can tomatoes (28oz)
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon onion powder

this is my recipe for New York style pizza sauce this stuff is good on everything to start use a 28 Oz can of tomatoes they could be crushed peeled anything I add only 1/4 of the tomatoes to the blender then I go in with the rest of the ingredients the idea here is to completely puree these flavors together and then later add the rest of the tomatoes for New York style pizza sauce raw garlic and dried oregano are the key flavors I like to add a touch of onion and garlic powder for that lingering depth of savoriness you’ll know what I mean after trying this sauce once you Blended the base of ingredients on a high speed I add in the rest of the tomatoes and then blend on a very low speed I want to roughly chop the rest of the tomatoes to yield a not so smooth pizza sauce [Music] in my opinion even using San Marzano Tomatoes creates a great consistency you don’t want your tomato sauce to be any thicker than this the fluidity will allow the sauce to cook on the pizza during longer bakes this sauce you better have ready for next week’s video because I’m doing a pizza special stay tuned oh [Music]

  1. Hello, I'm looking forward to it. I'm always curious about your great information. Thank you very much.

  2. Did someone say pizza! 😊🍕… Don't make N.Y style too often, but when I do I use the same recipie as you did.
I use a stick blender or I use a food mill for my San Marz. My sauce was turning orange with the air from the blender so I threw it away! Haha😂 I like it deep red… Can wait for your pizza.. Gratzi 🇮🇹

  3. I have two questions regarding the sauce for NY style pizza. 1. Should the sauce be cooked/reduced? Is sugar/honey used in the sauce?
