4 times in the last year I have had pizzas turn up at my door that had slid around in the box and were ruined because Uber drivers don’t know how to handle them properly. It’s infuriating.

Yeah, it’s time to stop using Uber. I do pick up food myself except when I’m tired because it’s just so convenient. No more.

I’ve seen these delivery people put a pizza vertically in a shopping bag and hang it off the handlebars 😂😂😂

I used to work for an app on the corporate side handling accounts of the restaurant owners.
This would happen from time to time. Sometimes the owners are dicks but it was usually a driver sho was impatient or didn’t follow instructions and got confronted so they get a bunch of friends to leave bad reviews on Google.
The issue was also that the restaurant owners would call me and demand I get the reviews taken down, which we had no power to because we literally can’t control their private accounts or make demands of them for accounts unrelated to us…

Hire your own delivery people then. This is simple stuff. Can’t afford to pay a driver? Then either accept that these people arnt your employees or don’t do deliveries.

I tried to use Uber eats, doordash or skip the dishes but the delivery fee was so expensive and even the prices were higher if I ordered on the app vs calling and picking it up. So I stopped ordering delivery. I go pick it up. Less headaches.
It’s not that far and I know no one will spit in my drink like that guy in Markham if I’m not mistaken.

I have seen delivery rider/drivers being treated very badly. In some restaurants, they are not allowed inside at all, so you see them seats on a bench just outside. Btw, I sometimes walks into a restaurant still with my bike helmet on, and would be chased out immediately even if I am trying to dinning in.

If I order a pizza and it shows up cold, I blame the business. These delivery companies SHOULD have insulated bags.
