mayonnaise and tartare sauce homemade

    so simple and taste 10x better than store bought

    mayonnaise

    1 free-range egg yolk

    1 tsp English mustard

    1 tbsp white wine vinegar

    250 ml vegetable oil (better is grapeseed)

    for seasoning to taste freshly ground sea salt and white pepper

    tartare sauce

    200ml/7fl oz mayonnaise

    3 tbsp capers, drained and chopped

    3 tbsp gherkins, drained and chopped

    1 small shallot, finely chopped

    squeeze of lemon juice

    flaked sea salt and freshly ground white pepper

    Tartare sauce… the one who invented it should get a price

    What have you been eating with it? Over here breaded and fried white fish is really popular with it. I wouldn’t mind some more ideas 🙂
