High, i tested my DoJoe yesterday, and it didn't go great – i realized this morning that it just doesn't seal at all. Is there a way to lower the lid? If i use it for smoking it works, although the metal band is a bit (1/4") lower on the lid in the back.

I tie my lid down with a cable. It’s annoying but works

U can adjust the hinges at the back but there is also a little hook on the top front that clips on the kj

Loosen the collars on the hinge slightly until you can get it to seat right then tighten. That’s how I got joetisserie snug

I get the same issue with the Joetisserie. My first solution was to fully loosen the air lift hinge. Bad idea cause then when I’d go to open it I’d have to lift the fifty pound dome off my bj3. Try putting in a rotisserie spit with that…

Then I did the simple thing. I just put a 15lb weight on the handle.

Uhhh… The angle of the doejoe matches the angle of the lid. The left side of the doe joe platform is lined up with the edge of the handle. This is turned way too far counterclockwise. Just rotate it counterclockwise until it lines up… Is this some kind of troll post?

Pull the dojo more forward rather than all the way back

By the way, it is easy to get your grill to nine billion degrees with a dojoe, which will melt your plastic handle if you have one. Just pay attention, easily prevented.

Issue 2 – when you’re done pizzaing just let everything die down in place. I removed my dojoe and set it on a concrete slab so I could close the grill and save some coals and my heat deflectors cracked. Don’t be me.
