My first homemade salsa, it turned out very nicely. Slightly spicy, will probably add a hotter pepper next time.

Yields ~40 fl oz of salsa
Ingredients:
4 roma tomatoes
1 white onion
10 cloves garlic
4 tomatillos
2 red jalapeños
2 green jalapeños
2 Serrano peppers
1 lime
1 bunch of cilantro

Broil until blackened
Add cilantro and lime
Blend until desired consistency

Add salt, msg, black pepper, cumin as needed

    General question for anyone I guess – do people simmer their salsa after charring and blending? Seems like charring would get you the char flavor you want but maybe not take the raw edge off of everything
