These are similar to any other canned solid meat product like spam or corned beef. They are not “good” but they are edible and not the worst thing to slough out of a tin.

I’ve never heard of this, but it seems to be very much like salisbury steak (beef for people unable to chew very well, such as the elderly, disabled, or injured).

These are terrible. I so badly wanted to try one of those trekking canned burgers and I do expect them to be terrible, but I found these and gave them a go. Cooked them several different ways and everytime it just tastes like mush. Just this bland hardly held together mystery meat mush.
Is this 4 hamburgers, 8 hamburgers, or just one very very hamburger?

I remember a particularly cold wet and miserable firework night at our town display where the only food van there was serving tinned wrestlers burgers in those floury baps that seem to lacerate your lips.

I have more than I should have canned meat. Should s*** go sideways, I have a whole chickens and other meat that I can roast over a fire. Emergency rations don’t have to come in a bag. Bake that in my portable Pizza oven at 600° f in my cast iron skillet will give that burger so much love it’ll only feel a little bit gross.

I’ve eaten the vegetarian version of these. Loma Linda brand, they call them Stake. They’re not bad as long as you prepare them well.
